Western Growers has formed a Food Safety Advisory Committee with Amber as one of the 12 committee members currently serving.

Denver’s Mile High Magazine, 5280, announced San Francisco-based Imperfect Foods will begin servicing Denver this month with their grocery needs, specifically imperfect produce. “Partnering with local farmers and brands, from Strohauer Farms in La Salle to Justin’s Nut Butters and Boulder Canyon Chips … Strohauer Farms is the first local producer to participate.”

Whole Foods announced their new store location in Boulder, Colorado ~ including Strohauer Farms as part of their expansive, local produce & organic offerings, along with Hazel Dell mushrooms and Domenico Farms.

Western Growers announces their next Future Volunteer Leaders (FVL) at the start of the new year with Amber joining their sixth class.

Amber and Harry are working harvest in Clayton, NM, so the Modern Eater guys head out to the farm ON THEIR OWN. Should we be worried? I mean, always, with these three :)

Amber was interviewed by FreshPlaza on the potato trends seen this past season, as well as given a chance to remind local chefs that Russet potatoes aren’t just from Idaho, they’re also from states like Colorado. Amber gives kudos to Idaho’s marketing campaign and talks about the differences in growing potatoes in different regions of Colorado.

Our girl Chef Andrea of Four Directions Cuisine is also one of CU Boulder’s incredible chefs. She created a week-long menu of potato dishes for students in February, including her purple potato pierogi recipe she created for us!
